Seagrove is an Edinburgh-based day care centre for those affected by dementia, as well as older people in the community.

Carer talking to lady

Our day care service gives members the chance to get out of their homes, enjoy lunch with others, and take part in fun activities.

Whether they attend once a week or more, our members benefit hugely from their time with us. Our dedicated staff and volunteers ensure that individuals’ needs are always met and that Seagrove is a vibrant centre within the Edinburgh community.

We provide transport to and from the centre for members who live within our catchment area, and welcome those who live further afield but are able to make their own travel arrangements.

We are also mindful of the unique and, at times, complex needs of carers. To support people as they care for their loved ones, we host a range of events and run regular meetup groups.

Who we are

We're experts in providing day care that's engaging and enjoyable for people living with dementia in Edinburgh. We're also a community centre and support service for unpaid carers.

Day care

Our purpose-built daycare centre, which is open Monday to Saturday, can accommodate up to 29 members each day. Members can enjoy tea and coffee, light snacks, a two-course lunch, and a host of activities.

Referrals

Making a referral to attend Seagrove is simple, and we're happy to walk you through the process. We currently accept referrals from several sources and also offer privately funded centre spaces.
